"I recently participated in Christy’s watercolor retreat.  It was a wonderful 3 whole days of creating paintings along with Christy.  She offered expert suggestions for me to improve my paintings and offered a variety of papers to see how the watercolors reacted to each type of paper.  The lessons were relaxed and enjoyable.  Her studio set up and her artwork that decorates the studio were an inspiration to my creativity.  

The B&B is super clean and the rooms are decorated beautifully.  As a bonus, the 3 meals a day prepared by the most talented, Elizabeth, the chef, were off the chart!  I have been to many fine dining restaurants throughout my world travels, and Elizabeth’s creative and deliciously prepared dishes are right on the level with any of those other restaurants that I have visited.  The food was amazing and I felt like I was truly having a fine dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

 

I also spent an extra day there after the retreat to check out the area around the lakes.  Christy mapped out a plan for me with the highlights to visit.  The map was very helpful and her suggestions really made my day.

 

I highly recommend attending one of the retreats that Christy offers.  You won’t be disappointed.  Christy and her family are so welcoming that you feel like you have known them for years!"
